Swansea's inaugural Green Dragon EV Rally & Show was a resounding success and an event enjoyed by spectators, exhibitors and participants alike.

Blessed by beautiful weather on Saturday, August 24th, Swansea City Centre came alive to a new sound, that of silence from the host of electric and hydrogen vehicles both on display and participating in the Rally.
Spectators and shoppers alike were entertained by the 4-12 year-old riders from Trial Team Wales who displayed their extraordinary talent in electric trial bikes, while others were able to sample what electric transport of the future will look like by viewing electric bicycles and motor bikes.
Electric performance vehicles were represented by a unique Renault Zoe all-electric rally car and the art of luxurious motoring in the electric era was on display in the form of the elegant Aston Martin Rapide E.
Participants on the rally were effusive in their praise for the event and its organization and thoroughly enjoyed 60 miles of blissfully quiet motoring around the Gower Peninsula. Those competitive minded entrants took part in the AutoSolo at Swansea Airport where the inaugural winner of the William Grove Trophy was crowned. The trophy winner was Mark Sandford driving a BMW i3.
Well done to all who participated, exhibited and joined us for what was the first of what is hoped will be many more Green Dragon events in Swansea
Finally our thanks to our to all those who supported this first event and special mention must be made to the team from Swansea BID who powered us to such a fantastic event
See you next year!
